Navarra Wines

Bodega Inurrieta

The name of Inurrieta refers to the lands where the family ancestors grew vines almost a century ago. The new generations chose this name as a tribute to their loved ones who had such a passion for wine and made this project possible. It began in 1999 with the planting of the first vines and was completed in 2002 with Inurrieta’s inauguration. These are very lively wines; the whites and rosés are fresh, modern floral wines with an explosion of fruit. Our reds perfume the glass and are silky and very long on the palate; the finest oak endows them with smooth nuances, giving a balance in which the fruit and the most elegant tannins reign supreme. A pure velvet texture lengthens infinitely in the mouth.

Bodega Otazu

OTAZU is unique. Besides being the northernmost winery producing red wine in Spain, it is also a setting, a vineyard, a forest, a magical landscape, and a philosophy of creating high quality wine. Set in the Cuenca de Pamplona basin, it enjoys an exceptional microclimate with mainly Atlantic influences, which favor the personality and quality of the grapes. Otazu’s hallmark is the unique nature of its terroir and the continuous selection of its wines. We only make wines using grapes from the 115 hectares of our own PAGO DE OTAZU vineyards, set around the winery, which ensures their selection, personality and quality of our wines.

Bodegas Campos de Enanzo

Bodegas Enanzo was set up in 1958 and since then has always been a pioneer in the use of the latest technologies. Unbeatable natural and climatological conditions for wine growing have made Murchante an area with a long winemaking tradition.

All the stages of production are performed under a strict control process applied by our oenologists (winemakers) and vineyard staff. The process begins in the vineyard itself, supervising the growth and ripening of the wines, and ranges from basic pruning to the treatment and ripening controls performed in each plot, culminating in a selected grape harvest which arrives at the winery via 4-fruit-selection hoppers.

The average age of the vines grown in our vineyards approaches 25 years. A wide range of varieties allows us to make wine specifically conceived to become young wines or “reserve” (oak aged) with a great respect for nature.

This means that our vineyards are thoroughly controlled, and yields of more than 6,500 kilograms per hectare are not projected.

Bodegas Castillo de Monjardín

Castillo de Monjardín lies in the northwest corner of Navarra, in the foothills of the Pyrenées, not far from the French border. The estate is a way-station along the famous pilgrimage route from Paris to Santiago de Campostela. Monjardín’s 500 acres of vineyards lie on sunny slopes, at an altitude of 500 – 1,800 feet, which are cooled by the “Cierzo” wind from the mountains. This unique microclimate and the winemaking skills of proprietor-winemaker Victor Villar yield wines of singularly intense aroma, full flavor, and distinctive elegance.

The wide range of wines produced ranges from young (red, rosé and white) to Crianzas, Reservas and Gran Reservas. Many of these wines have been awarded in international contests, such as: Concours Mondial Vinopres (Brussels): Silver Medal to Señor de Cascante, G.R. 96. Bodegas Ochoa

The name Ochoa traces its wine making origins to the 14th century. In more modern
times, Sr. Javier Ochoa has gained a reputation for being one of Spain’s best winemakers

Apart from the quality of the grapes, the know-how and dedication of everyone involved have also contributed greatly to the ever-increasing popularity and importance of our pleasantly balanced red and white wines, not to mention our renowned rosés, for which Navarra is deservedly famous.
Apart from the young red, rosé, and white Ilagares wines, Bodegas San Martín also make Ilagares red selection, which has been aged in new oak barrels, and Señorío de Unx Crianza, which is oak-cask-aged for a year, with a further six months in the bottle before being released.
